Chanel Joues Contraste: Canaille

Simply put: anything from Chanel is amazing. I love their cosmetics and have been wearing Chanel since I was nineteen (when I first began blogging.)

Their skincare, foundations, blush, lipsticks and lipglosses... ALL amazing quality make-up. They truly give you a flawless finish. Yes, the price is a bit steep - but you are paying for designer quality. 

I stopped at Dillard's and visited with my lovely Chanel beauty specialist and she showed me their new collection for Spring 2015.

In the pan, it is a lovely terracotta peach/bronze with a hint of rose pink. It does have shimmer so it will impart a lovely glow. 

On my medium-tan complexion, this is a warm peachy-bronze. It is stunning and gives a beautiful healthy glow. It's very reminiscent of the shades Jennifer Lopez uses on her cheeks. This will be beautiful in the Summer as well.

Lip Service: Fullips Lip Enhancer

FULL, LUSCIOUS, SEXY LIPS...

Who doesn't want them? If you're anything like me, you love a plump, juicy pout. Think Angelina Jolie or Adriana Lima. 

I personally love to use any product that will help me achieve the appearance of fuller lips and I've always been a big fan of lip plumpers. I've tried many, many different types: Freeze 24/7, Victoria's Secret, DuWop, Too Faced, Fusion, Sally Hansen, Soap & Glory... I can go on. 

Enter, Fullips Lip Enhancer. 

What is it?

 It's a product that plumps your lips by suctioning them. And you'll be surprised - it really does work and gives you an effect that lip plumpers simply do not. Seriously sexy lips. 

I came about the Fullips Lip Enhancer after my best friend remarked she had seen it on instagram and noted that she wanted to try it. I decided to place an order and the lovely miss Linda Gomez (the founder of Fullips) was kind enough to send me pieces to review. ♥ (Thank you, Linda! *hugs*)

TIPS FOR USE:

- Keep lips moisturized before and after use. You will get better results when you have smooth, hyrdrated lips.

- DRINK WATER. Keep your lips hydrated naturally and they will naturally be plumper. However, it does help when using this product or else you can (like me) might notice wrinkled lips if they're dry.

- Do not apply too much pressure. You can bruise your lips.

- Check out Fullips.com for videos and tutorials on how to use.

- Buy according to your lip size/width. If you have a wider mouth, use the Medium piece. If you want more volume in the center, try the size Small. If you want to achieve overall volume, try the Large round. My personal favorite is the small for my cupid's bow and then pumping a few times with the round piece for a very plump pout.

THE VERDICT:

I do really enjoy using this product when I desire fuller lips. I use it when I'm going out - in fact, I keep one in my make-up bag (medium size) and the large round in my car for pumping on-the-go. I ended up giving my best friend the size small because she loved it for the center of her lips as well, and she also keeps them in her car. 

Now, the question(s) I always receive: 

Q: Does it work?
A: Yes, they work. However, I am going to advise yet again - start with hydrated lips! You'll only de-flate your lips if they're dry. 

Q: Does it hurt?
A: No, there is no pain. Just be sure to not suction too hard or with too much pressure as to not bruise and cut off the circulation to your lips. 

Q: How long does it last?
A: It's supposed to last a couple of hours. However, here's the only con: it doesn't last me, personally, more than 20-30 minutes. If I want a longer-lasting effect, I top off with a plumping lip gloss or just continue pumping throughout the day. Otherwise, no - it doesn't last long on me. Of course, results may vary on you so do not be discouraged!


Overall, it is a good product and it serves it's purpose to give you much fuller lips. The customer service is absolutely wonderful and they respond promptly to any inquiries or questions.
